Hello Welcome to St Mary's Catholic School Papakura.
Euphrasie Barbier was the founder of the Congregation of Our Lady of the Missions, which was dedicated to Mary. This new missionary order established a house at Napier in 1864 and in Christchurch in 1868. Our own school is a Mission School, having been founded in Papakura in 1954. Our Barbier House banner incorporates the distinctive cross adopted by the Mission Sisters as their emblem, in recognition of our founding order, Les Religieuse de Notre Dame de Missions (RNDM).
